Within the Coral South FLNG project- Africa’s first ultra-deepwater FLNG operating at 2,000m- Key Solution supported ICSS Software FATs and offshore Commissioning activities. Working within the TechnipFMC-led EPCIC framework, we ensured rigorous validation of Emerson DeltaV control and safety systems, contributing to a fully integrated, high-performance automation platform capable of supporting 3.4 Mtpa LNG production in extreme offshore conditions.

Key Solution supported ICSS validation and commissioning phases, starting from Software FATs in Paris through offshore installation and start-up. We reviewed and verified DCS, SIS, and FGS logic, tested voting libraries and Modbus interfaces, validated Cause & Effect and Safety Logic Diagrams, and supported complex process and utility sequences. During commissioning, we contributed to SAT, SIF testing, ESD/PSD validation, blackout recovery, and full ICSS Integration Acceptance Tests.
Deliverables
DeltaV ICSS FAT validation, C&E and SIF testing, voting logic verification, Modbus integration tests, commissioning procedures update, ESD/PSD validation, FGS testing, dynamic commissioning support, and ICSS Integration Acceptance Testing.
Results
Delivered a validated, fully integrated ICSS platform ensuring safe start-up, reliable shutdown management, and stable process performance in ultra-deepwater conditions, supporting on-time LNG production in Mozambique’s first FLNG development.
